THE JACK is professionally rigged to cater for inshore light tackle fishing as well as light tackle Tuna fishing.
Build Quality and Features
The Magnum build quality exceeds current American and European boat building safety standards. The South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) surveys both our boats annually and we ensure that all the required safety equipment is onboard at all times.
Being able to cruise at a comfortable 20 to 25 knots means that within an hour and a half of leaving Hout Bay we are nearing the start of the pelagic zone and the best fishing. We are also strategically placed running from Hout Bay in that we can run straight out offshore and don’t have to detour 33 kilometres to 48 kilometers (one way) south to get around Cape Point before being able to head out like any boats based in False Bay (Millers Point, Simonstown, Gordons Bay) which wastes important fishing time (easily 90 to 120 minutes in additional unnecessary travel time) in the day.
All our boats are equipped with the standard VHF radio for boat to land communications and in addition a Cavicom, a closed channel boat to land radio telephone for direct contact if required. And to use for private communication between our boats as to where the best fishing is happening!
