Paul and mates joined us for an offshore charter and the wind came up early so a bit of a bumpy ride, However we still managed to get stuck into one good yellowfin. Also seen were several schools of dolphins as well as a wandering albatross!

Yellowfin, yellowfin , yellowfin…

Fun day out today, flat seas, good weather and most importantly we got stuck into some great yellowfin – another two fish in the 90 kgs class, thats three charters in a row with 90 kg yellowfin! Well done guys!

As Antony will second – Daves tuna was to big to fit in the photo and so we had to cut some of the head off…

Bar raised !

Well we raised the bar again today with a 97 kg yellowfin taken by our charter, Brad and his mates. So far the biggest yellow this season. Conditions were good with almost no ground swell and a small chop on the water. A fun day was had by all. We also got bust up by a very big tuna breaking our line.

First YELLOWFIN of the season!

John, Mike and friends joined us for an offshore tuna charter and we got stuck into our first yellowfin of the season. Biggest fish weighed in at 96kgs! thats 211lbs! Well done guys on a great catch and fun day out. We were treated in the morning with aerial displays from an energetic humpback whale as well as two wandering albatross amoungst the hundreds of other pelagic seabirds.

Special mention must be made of 12 yr old Mike who fought his first yellowfin tuna like a pro and the tuna weighed almost twice what he did!

Well a fun two days fishing with good catches of yellowtail and snoek. Large numbers of anchovies in the water and Brydes whales feeding on them as well as a sunfish taking a liking to our boat.
